This summer, Snowbird Resort restaurants are kicking things up a notch to entice you to travel up scenic Little Cottonwood Canyon to dine. For the month of June, Snowbird's first-ever Dine Around will take place. During June, four of Snowbird's award-winning restaurants -- The Aerie, The Steak Pit, El Chanate and The Lodge Bistro -- will offer three-course meals for only $30.
Menus will change frequently, I'm told, but a sample Dine Around menu from The Aerie includes a choice of red & gold beet soup with arugula & herb goat cheese or braised pork cheek with creamy polenta; an entree selection of pan-seared sea bass with braised leeks and fennel or petite beef fillet with wild mushrooms and roasted potatoes; and for dessert, a choice of strawberry shortcake or hot fudge sundae.
At El Chanate, the opening Dine Around menu includes an El Chanate salad and tortilla soup; sopes de asada or pork chile Colorado or pollo en rajas con crema; and a dessert of traditional Mexican-style flan.
In addition, the Aerie Restaurant & Lounge is also offering food and drink specials such as $3 drafts all day and 50% off appetizers from 5-6 p.m.; Sake & Sushi Sundays featuring sake, tempura roll and ceviche specials; Martini Mondays with specialty martinis and appetizers; and Whiskey Wednesdays, featuring $3-$4 Evan Williams whiskey drinks and cocktails, and $7 spare ribs & coleslaw.
