This Saturday, June 4th, owner/chef Elio Scanu and his Zucca Trattoria team will host not one, not two, but three culinary classes.
First up at 11:00 a.m. is a focused cheese tasting class called "The Land and the Hand of Italian Cheeses." Elio Scanu will discuss the concept of terroir in relation to Italian cheeses and attendees will taste a cheese flight featuring several different Italian cheeses from specific regions (land) paired with several Italian winemakers' wines (hand). The price is $20 with a $5 gift card good toward Market purchases.
Next, at 1:00 p.m. is a cooking class: "Sous Vide & Grilling ... Why Not?" Students will learn sous vide techniques combined with grilling. According to chef Scanu, "With only about 5 minutes prep time and finishing time, you'll be in rich, beefy heaven. Price: $30; Wines $15.
