Next Wednesday, on May 18, Carver's Steaks and Seafood will be the location for a five-course beer tasting dinner featuring Epic Brewing Company. Carver's chef Dave Hester is working closely with Epic's brewmaster to create a menu featuring wild game, steak and fish, all paired with special beer selections from Epic.
Menu courses include:
Black and Blue Elk Tartar: quail egg yolk, watercress, black truffles, brioche toast - paired with Imperial Red
Warm Duck Confit Salad: frisee, arugula, shaved radish, apricot gastrique -paired with Straight Up Saison
Grain-Scented Hanger Steak: fingerling potatoes, chimichurri, wilted arugula - paired with Spiral Jetty
Cornmeal-Crusted Fried Rockfish: Hush puppies, spicy tartar, gaufrettes -paired with Brown Rice Ale
and Amano Chocolate Nib Tart: Oreo crust, Amano ganache -paired
The cost for the dinner is $40 per person, plus $25 for the optional beer pairings.
