Looking for a place to take Mom for a Mother’s Day meal this Sunday? If so, there are a plethora of local restaurants at the ready. Here’s a list of Mother’s Day meals from eateries that contacted me with information.
Bambara at the Hotel Monaco will honor Mom with a Mother’s Day brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., priced at $36 for adults, $16 for kids 6-12 and $26 for senior citizens. The Bambara Mother’s Day brunch menu includes pastries, smoked salmon, roasted asparagus, antipasti, Caesar salad, brioche French toast, buttermilk biscuits and elk sausage gravy, prawns with herbs & hot horseradish, truffled mac & cheese, quiches, leg of spring lamb, New York strip, organic turkey breast, Belgian waffles, grilled King salmon, custom omelets, smoked ham hock hash, a dessert station and more.
Blue Boar Inn in Midway will host a Mother’s Day brunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a fixed price per person of $40. Executive Chef Eric May has created a fresh mixture of breakfast and lunch cuisine, with entrées for the occasion to include honey smoked salmon eggs Benedict, herb-seasoned Prime rib, shrimp risotto, jumbo crab cake, and roasted halibut with Yukon gold medallions, asparagus tips and lemon coriander sauce. The Blue Boar will also offer Sunday Brunch signature favorites like their cinnamon marbled brioche French toast alongside a choice of ham, bacon, or sausage, sweet cream butter and maple syrup.
The Farm at Canyons Resort will offer a special plated brunch for Mother’s Day, served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., consisting of 3 plates for $39 and a children’s brunch for $19. Included are special menu items such as the Creminelli frittata with farm fresh eggs, artisanal cured meats, and Gold Creek mozzarella. Another crowd favorite will be the grass fed steak and farm fresh eggs with Summit County strip steak, duck fat potatoes, and soft poached eggs.
Faustina chef Billy Sotelo will feature evening dining for Mother’s Day, from 4:30 to 9 p.m., with special additions to his regular menu. Pricing is a la carte and mothers will receive a complimentary rose and special dessert.
Fleming’s will feature a 3-course, prix fixe brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $32.95 per person ($15.95 for kids 12 and under). In addition, Mom will get a $25 dining card from Fleming’s to use on a future visit. Brunch items include a “Tickled Pink” cocktail, berry-stuffed French toast, smoked salmon bagel, filet mignon Benedict, crab frittata, fruit salad, cheesecake, crme brulée, walnut turtle pie and more.
Franck’s will offer a special 4-course plated menu for Mother’s Day brunch, priced at $44 for adults and $20 for kids 12 and under. Brunch at Franck’s will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Log Haven chef Dave Jones will offer a special 4-course Mother’s Day meal from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m., priced at $39.95 for adults and $21.95 for kids under 12. Mother’s Day menu items include asparagus soup, spring greens with bay shrimp, roast leg of lamb, pan-seared Steelhead trout, citrus-brined organic chicken breast, grilled Angus New York steak, brown rice risotto, flourless chocolate cake, cheesecake and more.
Lugano will offer extended seating for Mother’s Day, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature their regular dinner menu in addition to Mother’s Day specials.
Market Street Grill and Oyster Bar and the Market Street Broiler will serve complimentary strawberry cake to mothers on their special day. The Market Street Grill and Oyster Bar will be open for brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and all Market Street Restaurants, including the Market Street Broiler, will serve dinner from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Oasis Café will feature Mother’s Day brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., priced at $32 for adults and $18 for kids 12 and under. The brunch buffet will include a Prime rib carving station and a chocolate fountain for dessert.
Tuscany restaurant in Holladay will offer a set price Mother’s Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $39 for adults and $18 for kids 12 and under. Included in the brunch buffet selections will be Prime rib and honey glazed ham carving stations, made-to-order omelets, eggs Benedict two-ways, a waffle station, chilled seafood bar, fresh salads, house-made pastas and an assortment of pastries. Tuscany will not be open for dinner on Mother’s Day.
Zucca Trattoria in South Ogden will offer a special 4-course Mother’s Day brunch, priced at $45 for adults and $16 for kids 12 and under. Chef Elio Scanu’s Mother’s Day brunch menu includes Egg Benedict with an Asparagus Hollandaise, Greens, Prosciutto & Parmigiano Reggiano; Cavatelli with Lobster & Pancetta; Sea Bass Wrapped with Speck & Truffle Emulsion; Wagyu Beef Short Ribs Braised with Port and served with Potato and Celery Root Gratin and Seasonal Vegetables. Mom will also be treated to House Made Brioche Bread Pudding, Passion Fruit-Rhum Caramel Sauce, White Chocolate Dust.
Advance reservations for Mother’s Day are very strongly encouraged, unless you plan to dine with Mom at Denny’s.
