For an indulgent weekend and the final one of skiing at Deer Valley Resort this season, I suggest partaking in the St. Regis Deer Crest's Winemaker Weekend, April 8-10. Highlights of the event include the wines of Robert Sinskey Vineyards and skiing at Deer Valley Resort.
The Winemaker Weekend kicks of with a reception and apres ski wine tasting at St. Regis' Remede Spa, from 7 to 9 PM, with passed hors d'oeuvres from J&G Grill, mini-massages and Sinskey wines. I've been told that special wines were brought in for this event - not just the ones normally available in Utah.
On Saturday from 3:30 to 6:00 Robert Sinskey will host a wine tasting in the St. Regis Wine Vault, where you can taste and learn about the 100% certified organic and biodynamic wines Robert Sinskey produces. Finger foods including black truffle fritters will be passed.
Special lodging packages are available for the Winemaker Weekend, which include accommodations for two in a St. Regis one-bedroom suite, the wine tastings, and two Deer Valley Resort lift tickets. The cost for one night is $729 or $899 for two nights. For the tastings only, the prices are $105 per person for the Friday night Remede Spa reception and $75 for Saturday's tasting in the Vault.
