The Pig is Back: Q4U

The pig returns! Tommy 'T' Brown from Q4U in Kearns tells me that he's roasting this year's first "pig from the rig" this Friday, May 14th at the restaurant. He'll be serving up fresh, barbecued pig beginning at 5:00 PM until the whole hog is gone. The pig plate is priced at $12.99 and includes two side dishes. "Come on out for the best pig in the west!" says T.   

Also, word has it that there's a new Q4U location coming soon -- more 'cue for all of us. Stay tuned.

Does anyone remember that before Q4U, Tommy was lead singer in a R&B/soul band that played all over Salt Lake? Was the band named Function?

Posted // May 14,2010 at 11:32 - Make that "singer named Calvin." And Tommy mostly played tambourine and sang, if my Swiss cheese memory has any battery life left in it.

Posted // May 14,2010 at 11:30 - Yup, "Tommy T" and I can't remember the band's name. I think Funktion was led by a black sister with an Afro. No kidding! Tommy used to wear denim pants and jackets that someone had spent about 7 years adding chrome studs all over them and he wore a kind of beret and, wait for it...clogs! My roomate at the time was their guitar player and they had a singer named who looked a bit like Miles Davis and played a mean Hammond organ.
