One stop shop n' snack

Posted // 2009-11-02 - Forget about mall food courts. At the new Nordstrom store in Murray's Fashion Place mall, you can now get a decent lunch or dinner, with wine or beer to boot! At Nordstrom's classy-looking Cafe Bistro -- on the second floor of the Nordstrom store -- you'll find a menu offering brick oven pizzas (the Margherita was pretty good), sandwiches (an excellent club sandwich), salads, soups and Bistro specialties such as New York strip steak with pommes frites ($17.95), braised short ribs and polenta ($14.95) and salmon with gazpacho salsa ($16.25). The wine is pricey: We paid $8.95 apiece for glasses of Deloach Pinot Noir and Estancia Chardonnay. Beers (Sam Adams Boston Lager/Stella Artois/Sierra Nevada Pale Ale) run $4.95 each. But hey, at least they have wine and beer. I think I know where I'll be doing my holiday shopping this year.
