Dear GYA, I've had the most brutal weekend of shopping. I counterpunched my way through an epic mosh pit of moms at H&M, then trolled the blackest caverns of Smith's in search of lilac-scented kitty litter. Not even the serpent lines of Target could stop the heavy swipe of my triple-points Capital One Card.--- Any thing happening today that's insanely brutal? - Glenn Danzig

Glenn,  it seems that you have completed your epic quest of errands. So, here are a few suggestions on how to make today blacker than the depths of the Marinas Trench.

The gutter-punk trio Koffin Kats will playing at the Four Square Church. The Kats have been described as a combination of booze, tattoos and rip-roaring-punk rock & roll.  Be prepared to lose your sobriety, and probably your shirt. The show starts at 7 p.m.

At In The Venue/Club Sound, check out the dark-and-heavy evening entitled Zero. Headlining this event will be the man known to juggalos far and wide as Sid Wilson of Slipknot. Wilson will be behind his laptop performing a 75-minute dubstep opus. Opening sets by Steez, Quintana and G-Mann. The doors open at  8 p.m.

But the darkest event of the evening is probably Disney's Aladdin: The New Stage Musical happening at Tuacahn Theatre in St. George. Get down to all those heavy tracks you know and love, like "Prince Ali," "A Whole New World" and "A Friend Like Me." Plus, expect new unreleased Aladdin jams never heard by the listening public. The show starts at 8 :45 p.m.

Other worthwhile events today:

- Metal bands American Head Charge, Blue Felix and friends will be performing at In The Venue/Club Sound at 7 p.m.

- Bicycle enthusiast and world traveler Joe Kurmaskie will be holding a reading and lecture at 7 p.m. at the Main Library.

- Geeks Who Drink pub trivia at Devil's Daughter bar and grill, beginning at 8p.m.
