Glad You Asked: Ken Jennings, Brides and Eve 6

Dear GYA, I hear they used hologram technology at Coachella. Wow, that's really cool. You know, I've been doing shows since 1985 using my holographic earrings and no one seems to remember that little nugget of truth. Seriously, I haven't been this pissed since Barbie & the Rockers ripped me off back in '87. - Jem & The Holograms

Jem, you have to realize that modern technology eventually will catch up with your awesome '80s earrings. As for Barbie, you should take it easy on her, she's been engaged to Ken for like 50 years now. Anyways, here are some things happening today that should make you feel better.

Jeopardy champion Ken Jennings will be holding a signing for his new book Maphead at The King's English Bookshop tonight at 7 p.m. His last book, Brainiac, was all about the wild world of trivia; however, this time around Jennings gives readers a glimpse into his other obsession, geography. This is event is free to attend.

Remember back in the early 2000s when every band had some irrelevant number attached to its name? Well, some are starting to make a comeback and this time around SLC is treated to Eve 6 at In The Venue. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are going for $14.50. Don't remember Eve 6? Come on, they had that one song ...

Father of The Bride will be debuting at the Hale Centre Theatre tonight at 7:30 p.m. It's the theatrical story of a neurotic father who refuses to let his his daughter have a life of her own. Legend has it you'll laugh and cry -- maybe even at the same time. Tickets are going for $15-$26.

Other worthwhile events today:

- Salt Lake City Bees are taking on the Las Vegas 51s at Spring Mobile Ballpark tonight at 6:35 p.m.

- Karaoke That Doesn't Suck at The Woodshed beginning at 9:00 p.m.

- The downtown Public Library will be hosting a free screening of Sons of Babylon at 7 p.m.
