Glad You Asked: No Money, Reggae and Pi

Dear GYA, I just found out that the Discovery Channel dropped my show for no good reason. This is bullocks! I mean, there’s plenty of stuff I could do for them. I could drive that cash cab around or sweep the floor at LA Ink. Shoot, I would even drink my own urine for Myth Busters. What am I gonna do now? – Bear Grylls, alone on King's Peak---
Bear, I’m terribly sorry you were dropped by Discovery. But while your looking around for a job, there’s plenty to do here in SLC that’s cheap yet entertaining…
Since it's more than likely you're broke, you should go check out author Mark Sundeen at King’s English Bookshop. At 7 p.m., he’ll be doing a signing and reading to promote his new book, The Man Who Quit Money. He’s been living without any form of currency since the fall of 2000. He's so extreme.
If book signings aren’t your thing, then head over to Pierpont Place for Yelp’s 3.14 Pi Day Party. There will be complimentary circle-shaped food, music, prizes and, of course, hordes of Internet complainers. The party starts at 7 p.m. but you need to RSVP beforehand.
After that, I would go get irie with the celebrated roots-reggae band The Aggrolites at Urban Lounge. Best of all, Wasnatch and the Mike Pinto Band will also be performing. The show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets are still on sale for $13 in advance, $15 at the door.
