This is the default breakfast joint for U of U students, faculty, staff and nearby citizens. And the default dish is the Gawd Awful: a cholesterol-buster consisting of two eggs on fried hashed browns with chili and cheese on top. It’s located at the edge of the U campus in Salt Lake City, but some have suggested that the wood-paneled restaurant is closer to the edge of reality. Stick around until beer o’clock for a cold can of PBR and pretty good burgers, especially the chili burger. There’s also an excellent French dip sandwich on the menu.
