By Gavin Sheehan @TheGavinSheehanFor months, they’ve popped, flipped and spun their way through several battles against some of Utah’s freshest. Now, as the second season for the Bboy Federation draws to a close, the final four crews prepare for one of the biggest breakdance battles in the city.
They’ve spent the past six months showing what they can do in regular competition, but now it’s all or nothing as Body Rock, Flavanoids, Ground Hounds and Abstrak Disciples hit the floor in an old-school competition bracket to determine who will be crowned this year’s champion. In between battles, on the side, there will be a three-on-three bboy battle (currently taking pre-registration via e-mail at info@bboyfed.com) where smaller crews can battle it out for $900 in cash prizes. The evening will feature Phatso, Flex Flav, Nasty Ray and Squadron on judging duties.
