Desert Noises began in the basement of brothers Kyle and Trevor Henderson. Soon after forming they began to get a little bit of a local following and were approached by Joshua James and McKay Stevens of Northplatte records to do some recording. They recorded their self-titled EP in four days at the northplatte studio, which was released Jan 2008. Kyle Henderson plays guitar, and sings the main vocal parts. Brother Trevor Henderson does all the percussion and sings harmonies and Riley Johnson plays bass and sings some harmonies. Desert Noises EP has had several great reviews, IRR compared the record to fleet foxes, and local magazines haven given praise to the “beautiful harmonies” and others have only positive things to say about this up coming band. With a full-length album set due in the near future the outlook only looks positive from here.
