Join Amy Goodman at KRCL Monday

This weekend, step out at the Communities United Pink Dress Fashion Show to help fight breast cancer. Later, drop in at Peaceful Uprising’s Climate Bold School and get a crash course in how to change the discussion on climate change in your community and country. On Monday, you can join Democracy Now!’s Amy Goodman at a fundraiser for KRCL, where the progressive agitator will talk about her book about uprisings, occupations and social movements of hope.

Communities United Pink Dress Fashion Show
Friday, Oct. 26

This weekend, join Communities United in striking a fashionable blow against breast cancer at the nonprofit’s third-annual Pink Dress Fashion Show. Diverse Utah women will take to the runway, showcasing pink dresses to raise awareness. A $25 pre-sale general-admission ticket or $30 day-of ticket includes food from Rico’s, drinks courtesy of Epic Brewery, a raffle, dancing and more. Climate Justice Bold School

The environmental advocates of Peaceful Uprising are launching a new social-movement school for would-be ragers against the machine grinding up the Earth and polluting the sky and water. An Evening with Amy Goodman
Monday, Oct. 29

In her book The Silenced Majority, Amy Goodman, host of the popular independent-news broadcast Democracy Now!, chronicles the power of ordinary people rising up and occupying their destinies in a global wave of dissent from the Middle East to Washington, D.C. A $60 donation to community radio station KRCL 90.9 FM will get you two tickets to a unique engagement, where Goodman will discuss her book, the election and the power of community.
