Vote for Erin

By City Weekly Readers
Posted // October 23,2013 -

There are countless great candidates running for municipal office this year. Among them is Erin Mendenhall, who is pursuing a bid for Salt Lake City Council District 5.

If elected, Erin would be a great asset to the council. There are grave problems with wide-reaching ramifications facing us in this day and age, chief among them our ever-declining air quality. Erin’s experience as executive director of Breathe Utah, a local nonprofit dedicated to solving Utah’s air-quality problem, uniquely qualifies her to face this environmental crisis head-on. Erin will also be an unrelenting advocate for public transportation, local businesses and equality.

We need a leader who will be magnanimous and pragmatic with regard to problem-solving, while at the same time being a pertinacious advocate for the residents of District 5. I believe that Erin Mendenhall is that leader, and urge the voters of District 5 to cast their ballots in support of her candidacy.

A vote for Erin Mendenhall is a vote for informed and zealous representation.

Erin has never worked with city government. Her only 'accomplishment' is a change to Driver's Ed. Bill Davis, on the other hand, has 20 years of Community Council envolvement, has been on the Historic Landmarks Commision, and is activily trying to preserve our neighborhoods. Bill is a much better candidate.
