I just wanted to send a quick note commending Jesse Fruhwirth on the “War on Spice” [July 1, City Weekly]. It was the first story on the issue that I’ve read that sounded even-handed. While I am no way an advocate for use of any substance, legal or illegal, for any sort of mind-altering adventures, I become extremely cynical about the ability to police their use. Though I’ve never tried it, maybe our legislative sessions would run a whole lot smoother if small amounts of spice were used to help set the mood—only as incense, of course!
