Banshee: Season 1
The best action-thriller series you didn’t see this year, about an ex-con (Antony Starr) posing as the sheriff of corrupt Amish town Banshee to get back his woman (Ivana Milicevic) and his diamonds. Gritty, twisty, sexy and violent as hell. (HBO)

Black Rock
Three friends (Kate Bosworth, Lake Bell and The League’s Katie Aselton) weekend on a remote island, which sounds like a great idea until creepy war-vet hunters show up and things get all rape-y and murder-y and Deliverance-y. (Lionsgate)

G.I. Joe: Retaliation
Not only does the G.I. Joe squad (including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Channing “The Melon” Tatum) have to fight off the threat of COBRA, but they also have to put up with shit from their own government. Thanks again, Obama! (Paramount)

Touched By an Angel: Season 8
The shark-jumping 2001 season wherein a trainee angel (Valerie Bertinelli) joins the gang, along with other notable guest stars like Neil Patrick Harris, Zachary Quinto, Toby Keith and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir (sadly, not together). (Paramount)

Under the Bed
Two young brothers (Jonny Weston and Gattlin Griffith) join forces to fight off a literal monster under the bed—and their stupid parents are no help at all! From the producers of V/H/S, so you know shut-in horror bloggers looove it. (ANconnect)
