Returning:
Brothers & Sisters, Castle, Cougar Town, Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, The Middle, Modern Family, Private Practice and V.

Canceled: Better Off Ted, Eastwick, FlashForward, The Forgotten, Hank, Lost, Romantically Challenged, Scrubs and Ugly Betty.

New this fall: Better Together (sitcom about three different relationships—so, Rules of Engagement), Body of Proof (Dana Delany is … Quincy!), Detroit 187 (homicide procedural with Michael Imperioli set in, natch, Detroit), Happy Endings (split couple tries to maintain their circle of friends—so, Friends), Mr. Sunshine (speaking of Friends, Matthew Perry is … Arli$$!), My Generation (high school classmates reunite 10 years later and agree that Real Life Sucks), No Ordinary Family (The Shield’s Michael Chiklis and Dexter’s Julie Benz become overnight superheroes, a la The Fantastic Four), Off the Map (from the Grey’s Anatomy hacks, Doctors Without Borders meets Doctors Without Pants) and The Whole Truth (wait for it … a legal drama!).

The Big Bang Theory, Criminal Minds, CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI:NY, The Good Wife, How I Met Your Mother, Medium, The Mentalist, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Rules of Engagement and Two & a Half Men.

Canceled: Accidentally on Purpose, Cold Case, Gary Unmarried, Ghost Whisperer, Miami Medical, The New Adventures of Old Christine and Numb3rs. [Ghost Whisperer might be picked up by ABC.]

New this fall: Blue Bloods (Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg head a family of NYC cops), The Defenders (Las Vegas legal dramedy starring Jerry O’Connell and … Jim Belushi!), Hawaii Five-0 (like you don’t know), Mike & Molly (The King of Queens meets Overeaters Anonymous) and $#*! My Dad Says (based on … a Twitter page, starring … William Shatner).

Chuck, Community, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Office, Parenthood, Parks & Recreation and 30 Rock.

Canceled: Heroes, The Jay Leno Show, Law & Order, Mercy and Trauma.

New this fall: The Cape (disillusioned cop becomes Kick-Ass), Chase (U.S. marshals, Bruckheimer-style), The Event (National Treasure meets 24—and the president is Blair Underwood!), Friends With Benefits (see Happy Endings above), Harry’s Law (legal drama with Kathy Bates), Outsourced (The Office goes to India), Perfect Couples (see Better Together above), Law & Order: Los Angeles (see Dragnet, 40 years ago), Love Bites (romantic dramedy starring Ugly Betty’s Becki Newton), Outlaw (Jimmy Smits quits the Supreme Court to help The Little Guy), The Paul Reiser Show (Mad About You star attempts Curb Your Enthusiasm) and Undercovers (Chuck meets Mr. & Mrs. Smith—and the boss is Major Dad!).

New this fall: Bob’s Burgers (animated comedy not by Seth MacFarlane), Lonestar (Texas oil-biz drama—so, Dallas), Mixed Signals (see Perfect Couples above), Raising Hope (from Greg Garcia, My Name Is Earl: The Early Years), Ride-Along (Southland goes to Chicago), Running Wilde (sitcom with Will Arnett as a rich asshole—sold!) and Terra Nova (sci-fi epic wherein a family goes back in time to Save the Planet).

Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Life Unexpected, 90210, Smallville, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries.

Canceled: The Beautiful Life, Fly Girls, High Society and Melrose Place.

New this fall: Hellcats (Bring It On played as a cheerleader drama, featuring High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale and more whore-iffic dancing than you’ll find in most strip clubs) and Nikita (a re-re-remake of La Femme Nikita, featuring Hong Kong action star Maggie Q and more whore-iffic outfits than you’ll find in Hellcats).
