Daria: The Complete Series
The best animated MTV series ever (sorry, Beavis & Butt-Head), finally on DVD! All five 1997-2002 seasons, two movies and some extras from the days when MTV cared about something besides teen moms and guidos. La la la, la la. (Paramount)

DaybreakersTrueTV.DVD.Daybreakers.jpg
Vampires have taken over the world—which sucks (heh) for them, because they’re running out of humans. Only a blood scientist (Ethan Hawke—no, really) can formulate a substitute and, just maybe, also save the human race. Or not. (Lionsgate)

LegionTrueTV.DVD.Legion.jpg
In other Apocalypse news, angels and demons battle over the planet and (of course) The Chosen One, and only a scrappy band of truck-stop-diner customers can stop them. Blood, bullets and CGI overload ensue. Upside, no vampires. (Sony)

Malice in WonderlandTrueTV.DVD.MaliceWonderland.jpg
An American (Lost’s Maggie Grace) becomes stranded in a British underworld of pimps, hookers and drug dealers in the 376th re-imagining of—you got it—Alice in Wonderland. Upside, Tim Burton was not involved. (Magnolia Pictures)

Sita Sings the BluesTrueTV.DVD.SitaSingsBlues.jpg
An Indian goddess is separated from her husband and god; a present-day animator is dumped by her own husband; hand puppets narrate the sad/funny tale(s) backed by 1920s jazz vocals. Finally, a cartoon that make sense. (SitaSingsTheBlues.com)

More New DVD Releases (May 11)
Edge of Darkness, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: Season 5, Legend of the Tsunami Warrior, My Wife & Kids: Season 2, North Face, Raising the Bar: Season 2, Thirtysomething: Season 3, Tidal Wave, Westbrick Murders
