Utah’s three newer women’s flat-track roller-derby leagues may have gotten earlier starts this year, but the originals, the Salt City Derby Girls, are planning the most ambitious 2010 season of them all:
Six doubleheader home bouts over six months, culminating with the SCDG Championship in October.
Tonight’s twofer kickoff—featuring the all-star Salt City Shakers (who slaughtered Las Vegas’ Sin City Rollergirls in Nevada last month) taking on Bend, Ore.’s Lava City Roller Dolls first, then home teams Sisters of No Mercy and Death Dealers going skate-to-skate—promises three hours of the fastest and most brutal roller derby Utah has seen since … well, since the 2009 SCDG Championship last September.

No apologies necessary. Club Edge failed the fans and the Derby Girls and they deserve better! Thanks for the response Brew. :->
Just wanted to comment about the after party @ Club Edge. If your going to sponsor the Salt City Derby Girls and allow the fans in for free afterwards, make sure to mention, that if you arrive after 11:00 there will be a cover charge! That would have been nice to know. Maybe mention it in the program next time! Then I won't hang around as long @ the Salt Palace. The music all sounded "Techno" for 2 hours, it was like they were playing the same crap over and over. Floor was sticky everywhere I stepped. But the drinks were resonably priced. That was a plus. See all you Derby fans on May 15th;)
