Actor Vincent D’Onofrio is involved with Rib City; his sister opened the Sandy and American Fork branches. D’Onofrio put on 80 pounds for his Full Metal Jacket role and you might gain that much just enjoying the babyback ribs. A half rack of tender, meaty baby-back pork ribs at Rib City with two side dishes is a mere $8.99 at lunchtime. The BBQ chicken at Rib City is also excellent, as is tender, thin slices of smoked turkey. At Rib City you’ll also find—along with typical “red” barbecue sauces—the mustard-and-vinegar Carolina-style sauce that, for me, makes a pulled, chopped or sliced pork sandwich worth having.
