Posted // February 4,2010 - The most recent Club Fed outing was a fun and informative sushi-making class, hosted by master sushi chef Joe at Mt. Fuji Sushi Bar and Japanese Cuisine, in Sandy. In case you missed this one, Joe hosts sushi classes at Mt. Fuji most Sunday evenings. Check out the video, which includes some awesome and not-so-awesome karaoke.

Needless to say that this event was awesome. Joe was a great teacher, very skillful, patient and encouraging. He was also paying attention to the details, making sure that we were learning how to perfect our concoctions! :) They also tasted great afterwards, it was a huge amount. I brought some back home to have as a treat and remember the fun night with the great company. There was even a competition during the sushi making to see who made the best. And the prize was... The right to sing a song in the restaurant Karaoke!! I was never so relieved of not have won the prize. The karaoke was delightful to watch! Everyone who sang did it great, very funny and cute. Definitely a wonderful evening! People should come to Mt Fuji to learn how to make sushi, try your creations and be prepared to have lots of fun.
I've gotta admit, this was the most fun I've had with my clothes on in a long time!
I attended this event, and I must say it was one of funest things I've done in a while! The sushi class was very informative and entertaining. Joe is a super nice guy, and everyone else that attended was great! I definitely recommend taking this class if you get a chance. There's nothing like rolling sushi, wine, good company and karaoke (well next time I will need more wine if I'm to get up there behind the mic)!!! Thanks Club Fed, I hope to see you at the next one!
