He is currently hosting the TV series Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild, which received a 2008 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Series. Hanna is the author of numerous educational books for children as well as other books, such as Jungle Jack: My Wild Ride, about his experiences as an animal ambassador and aficionado. For nearly two decades, Jack Hanna was director of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Ohio.
Hanna, who is now director emeritus of the zoo, transformed the park from a rundown facility into a modern, world-renowned zoo that welcomes nearly 2 million visitors each year.
