PCAU Gala
On Friday, Sept. 13, Prevent Child Abuse Utah will hold its biggest annual fundraiser, the 26th-annual Benefit Dinner & Auction, at the Little America Hotel (500 S. Main). Prevent Child Abuse Utah (PCAU) is a statewide nonprofit group with a mission to prevent child abuse in all its forms through education and training. PCAU offers training programs in the areas of teen-dating violence, sexual harassment, Internet safety, child-abuse prevention, bullying prevention and others. The “black tie invited” (but not required) gala will feature cocktails and a silent auction followed by a gourmet dinner and live auction. For tickets and sponsorship information, visit PreventChildAbuseUtah.org.

Live Tunes @ Deer Valley Grocery
Deer Valley Resort’s Grocery-Cafe in lower Deer Valley (1375 Deer Valley Drive South, Park City, 435-615-2400) now offers occasional free live-music performances. The next will be Sunday, Sept. 1, featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter Steve Schuffert. He’ll perform on the deck at the Grocery-Cafe, which overlooks the lower Deer Valley Snow Park ponds—a terrific place to listen to live tunes while enjoying great Deer Valley Resort food and libations. All ages are welcome to attend the live-music events. Visit DeerValley.com for more information.

Locals Wine Dinner
On Sunday, Sept. 15, Fratelli Ristorante in Sandy (9236 Village Shop Drive) will host a “locals only” wine dinner, featuring food products and ingredients from around Utah paired with wines from local vineyards and wineries. Seatings begin at 5 p.m., with the last reservations being taken for 8:30 p.m. The cost is $30 per person for dinner and $30 for the optional wine pairings. Be sure to call Fratelli at 801-495-4550 for advance reservations, as the local Utah wine event is sure to sell out. Visit FratelliUtah.com for more information.

Oasis Dog Days Dinners
Oasis Cafe (151 S. 500 East, 801-322-0404) is continuing its value-priced summer Dog Days dinners through August, with menus changing weekly. Guests can enjoy a three-course dinner—which includes soup or salad, entree and dessert—under the stars on the Oasis patio for $25. Visit OasisCafeSLC.com for more information.
