M x 3 @ W Lounge
M x 3 = “Mmmph’n madness in club, Mmmph’n on the dance floor [and] Mmmph’n in the DJ booth,” according to the Nightfreq crew. They’re bringing Mstrshredder and Muscle Hawk together for a night of whatever you interpret “Mmmph’n” to be. Check it out May 28 at 358 S. West Temple. Oh, and it’s reported to be: “Mmmphing you all night, bring protection.”

Bar Deluxe Tribute
Last Friday saw “The Downtown Get Down” at Bar Deluxe (666 S. State)—the Brian Draney Recovery Fund effort to help pay medical bills for the victim of a recent Green Street shooting, which occurred in February. Draney needs help for his mounting medical bills, and the community assisted via a night of drinks and dancing, with door proceeds going to help out the unarmed man who was senselessly shot in the leg. If you would like to help out, go to any Wells Fargo and ask for the Brian Draney Recovery Fund.

Mayer Hawthorne: DJ Set
The multitalented Mayer Hawthorne is in town for his May 30 show with Bruno Mars at UCUU and will be stopping by The Urban Lounge (241 S. 500 East) on his way out of town to spin the 1s and 2s. What better way to celebrate Memorial Day than enjoying a DJ set? Bring your hippest dancing boots because Mayer will get the crowd rocking. $11 tickets available at Slowtrain.

Dustin Dean: 7-Day Sh!t Show
Salt Lake City club-hoppin’ regular and former Club Edger Dustin Dean moved out of town but is coming back to party for his 29th birthday. Where, you ask? “Metro Bar, Piper Down, Area 51, Johnny’s on Second, the streets of Salt Lake City—you name it!” as he says on the Facebook event page he created for his return starting June 2. Find the page and join the party.

I hope I can live up to all the hype and hoopla building behind the return of the great white dope! I must say, I do appreciate it though. Does make a boy feel like a bad ass! Cheers, thanks a bunch, and I'll see you all in 7 days! ;)

OH, and before I forget... Get the big boy glasses ready, I havent found a single place up here that offers steins!
