No Monkeying Around: 5 Monkeys
5 Monkeys is, seriously, serious fun. It proves it with different theme nights, like Dub Station on a recent Tuesday, featuring female DJs—Brieskie, Ray Ray, Juliette and TinkFu. Three-dollar steins and no cover make this one of the best mid-valley joints to party at mid-week at 7 E. 4800 South, one block west of State Street.

Five Years Down, 25 More to Go: The Hotel’s Anniversary
Friday is more than just a party at the Hotel/Elevate; it’s also a celebration of the Hotel’s fifth year and a kickoff to a two-day party. One of the most consistently good venues in terms of quality and performers, the Hotel (155 W. 200 South) deserves to let it all out for a White Party. All-white attire is suggested and will be rewarded with sets from the venue’s maestro, DJ Juggy, along with SupaMario and Handsome Hands on Friday. Saturday will have another set from Juggy and Sayo, as well as DJ Shortkut from San Francisco, and more. Check out the celebration at the Hotel; hit up Riley at 801-860-7180 for VIP access.

You Tuned In? Frequency Fridays at Circle
Circle Lounge (328 S. State) is one of the most versatile venues in town, offering a huge patio in the spring and summer, along with great guest DJs and sushi. Jeffery B mans the wheels of steel on the weekends for Frequency Fridays. In addition to some mad Top 40 video mashups, it’s also slinging sushi and hookahs until 1 a.m. Contact the main man Masood for some bottle service and tables.
