What sport did you once play that you wish you still could?

Scott Renshaw: I used to be a relatively-decent-for-a-white-boy basketball player, until my knees and my back gently reminded me in middle age to get the hell onto a couch and stay there.

Erik Daenitz: I can still play well every sport I’ve played well. That’s what Erik Daenitz does.

Rachel Scott: I used to do track and field. I could run a five-minute mile. I fractured my ribs in a car accident, which ruined my track career in high school.

Jeff Reese: Soccer. Bad knee ...

Rachel Piper: I played tennis for a long time, but then I got a job, got married and lost my desire to ever move from my deluxe leather office chair.

Susan Kruithof: I’m not a girlie girl, but I’m not what you would call sporty, either. I use to play a mean game of kick ball in elementary school. I do wish I could have that perfect timing required to aim and kick the ball just right. I’m pretty sure I’d fall on my ass if I were to try these days.

Paula Saltas: Croquet. Swinging that stick between my legs isn’t as fun as it used to be.

Kolbie Stonehocker: My shaman in World of Warcraft misses the gnome-ganking adventures we used to have. But I have been clean and sober from WoW for over a year and I’m not going back to that hellhole.

Jerre Wroble: Volleyball, I miss you. I once had a decent serve. I’d still like to play casually, like at a family picnic at Liberty Park. Who’s got a family reunion I can crash (crash being the operative word)?
