Message on a Billboard

By City Weekly Staff
Posted // April 13,2011 - If you could send a billboard message to a legislator, to whom would you address it and what would it say?

Derek Carlisle: Spend your valuable time and our valuable dollars on valuable legislation.

Dan Nailen: If this billboard were an open liquor store, I’d be off the road already.

Jackie Briggs:
It would say: Dear lawmakers, you should outlaw billboards. We’re ugly and disruptive. See the beautiful Utah landscape? Of course you don’t, because you’re reading me.

Nick Clark: To Rep. Valentine: Leave liquor alone!

Bryan Mannos: Because of the time it took you to read this, you now can say you’ve done something worthwhile for the day!

Jesse Fruhwirth: To Rep. John Dougall: What was the second-most reprehensible bill that you sponsored this session?

Rachel Piper: Adopt this lovable cat or dog  [insert adorable photo] from the Humane Society of Utah!

Erik Daenitz: For Senate President Waddoups: Sorry, it’s time for an intervention. Your muck does need to be raked.

Jerre Wroble: Wanted: Sane, forward-looking, charitable, business-minded, smarter-than-a-fifth-grader volunteers to guide Utah’s laws, regulation and budget as elected officials. Pinheads need not apply. Write to jerre@cityweekly.net .
