Barbecue Where?

By City Weekly Readers
Posted // June 12,2013 -

I’m new to Salt Lake City and looking for interesting restaurants, so after reading your review of the R&R Texas barbecue [“Bragging Rights," May 23, City Weekly], I went over on Saturday for dinner, with my appetite all set.

They had run out of food—no brisket, no ribs, no pulled pork. Astounded, I asked why they hadn’t made enough for a Saturday-night crowd, especially after a glowing full-page review. I don’t know how good or not good the food is, but I do think these guys aren’t good business planners. Is it worth going back? If so, I’ll call ahead to make sure there’s enough food.

Sorry Sharon,  We are victims of our own success.  Since the article we have installed a new smoker that gives us 60% more copacity and hopefully that will help us not to run out of food. But. we also try to limit our food that is held over to the next day to insure the quality of our bbq.
