Aye Caramba! Apple Pie

Crust:
4-1/2 cups flour
3 tablespoons buttermilk powder
¾ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon baking powder
¾ cup butter
¾ cup shortening
3 teaspoons vinegar
5 to 15 tablespoons ice cold water

Filling:
4-6 large Gala or other baking apples, peeled cored and sliced
1 c sugar
3 TBL flour
2 tsp cinnamon
¾ tsp nutmeg
½ c chopped fresh or frozen mild green chilies
Lemon juice to taste
½ c pine nuts

“Olive” This Bread
Bread:
1 pkg active dry yeast
1 TBL sugar
¼ c warm water
1 c warm milk
¼ c butter, softened
1 tsp salt
3-3 ½ c flour
1 egg for topping

Filling:
1/3 c sun dried tomatoes, chopped
1/3 c finely chopped black olives and/or green olives
¼ c chopped green onion
1 egg yolk, beaten
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 tsp black pepper
¼ tsp oregano
¼ tsp thyme

Chicken and Filling:
3 chicken breast halves, pounded flat and thin
3 Anaheim chilies, roasted and peeled
3 oz Monterey Jack cheese, cubed
Red Chile powder, optional
Garlic, optional
Cumin, optional

Brine:
½ tsp red chili powder
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp cumin
1 c lime juice
½ c tequila
½ c orange juice
¼ c salt
1 quart water
¼ c brown sugar

Topping:
1 egg white, beaten
1 tsp lime juice
3 c crushed nacho cheese chips

Cake ingredients:
2 cups flour
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ tsp rum flavoring
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp ginger
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 ½ cups brown sugar
4 eggs
½ cup oil
¾ cup grated carrots
1 cup baby food carrots
1 cup coconut

Icing:
8oz package cream cheese
2 tsp grated orange peel
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 stick butter
2 cups powdered sugar

Twisted up Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients:
1 pkg. yeast
½ cup water
½ tsp sugar
1 cup scalded milk
½ stick butter
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 egg beaten
3 ½ to 4 ½ cups flour

Middle Mixture:
Melt 1 cube butter. Add 2 teaspoons cinnamon and 1 cup sugar.

Glaze:
1/3 cup butter
¼ cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
1 lb. powdered sugar

1 crown pork roast
Salt and pepper to taste

¼ cup butter
1 tsp rubbed sage
1 tbsp fresh rosemary, crushed

1/3 c wild rice
1 ½ c chicken broth
1 c bread crumbs
½ medium onion, diced
5 mushrooms, coarsely chopped
¼ tsp sage
1 ½ ribs celery, chopped

Ingredients:
2 tbsp yeast
1/3 c sugar
1 ½ cup warm water (divided)
5-6 c flour
2/3 c powdered milk
1/3 c vegetable oil
1 c sour dough start
2 eggs (at room temp)

1 tsp fresh rosemary (crushed)
2 tbsp chopped onions
¼ c potato flakes
¼ c sliced green onions
½ c melted butter

Pie:
2 pkgs frozen peaches, thawed
2 c fresh raspberries
1 ½ c sugar
7 tbsp clear jell
1 tsp almond extract
½ tsp red food coloring
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp butter, cubed

2 c shortening (1/12 c white and ½ c butter flavor)
½ tsp salt
