An Acme Spring
Spring is in the air at Acme Burger Company, which recently launched a new spring menu. New dishes to punctuate the vibrancy of spring include tortilla-chicken epazote soup, ahi tostada, smoked turkey with tangy avocado dressing and a Caesar spinach salad with seasoned salmon. Acme Burger Company is at 275 S. 200 West, Salt Lake City, 801- 257-5700. AcmeBurgerCompany.com

More Moxi
Moxi Wine Bistro,
which I recently reviewed, is now open for lunch and on Sundays (beginning May 9). Moxi is located in Bountiful at 1025 S. 500 West. 801-815-4687, MoxiBistro.com.

Agro Award
Congrats to Slow Food Utah Leader Christi Paulson, who has been awarded the 2010 National Agriculture in the Classroom Program Teacher Award. The AITC acknowledges and supports efforts by educators to re-establish connections between food and food origins so that students understand how food is produced and where it comes from. According to AITC, “Increased national concern for this issue is partially evidenced by First Lady Michelle Obama’s ‘Let’s Move’ Campaign, and Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution television series.” The work Christi Paulson does in her “Slow Food Utah in Schools” program is derived from her classroom practices, for which she received this award.
