“News Quirks” is almost always entertaining, often offering off-handed insight into the human condition, and the Oct. 8 column in City Weekly was no exception. However, the headline writer missed an obvious opportunity.
Instead of “Rules is Rules” above the story of the frustrated man who couldn’t provide a thumbprint for bank ID at a Florida Bank of America branch due to having no hands, a pithier banner would have been “Rule of Thumb.”
