Re: “Smoke Signals

I AM JEALOUS! I had to share a company vehicle with Willie Aames and he was already transitioning into Christian superhero Bibleman. I was also expected to put in full time hours on the set. Any side work had to be done outside of company time. If I'd been gifted carte blanche privilege the way some in UFA have I could have transitioned into something better career wise than Diagnosis Murder. Now all I can get is a lousy invitation to speak at the RNC.

Check out Keller Williams Realty "Top Cappers" for June 2016. Well done Chief. Selling real estate must be a piece of cake to pull down those numbers while holding down a full time fire dept job.

Re: “Smoke Signals

A culture of entitlement is fostered when lackeys are tasked with "oversight". Quid pro quo is just too good to pass for some in "the inner circle". The cancer within UFA isn't limited to one individual. The phrase "his line of questions stop there" speaks volumes.
Where's the leadership? How did so many lose sight of what it means to be a firefighter? The job is to do hard things, not bury your head in the sand.
Crews on the streets are continually asked to do more with less. Bring the focus back to the street. Support your crews, serve the public. Be Honorable.

Re: “Smoke Signals

Lackeys in the upper echelons "inner circle" have been tasked with "keeping accountability?" The phrase "his line of questioning stops there" speaks volumes. Firefighters are supposed to be able to do the the hard thing even if it means not toeing the company line. I have a hard time believing one individual is responsible for the cancer in UFA. It appears a culture of entitlement has been created at the expense of the firefighters on the streets. Where's the leadership?
