If they want black-and-white or silent, they can adjust the settings on their TV and see it that way. Why release a version simply for that?
But as for commentaries, I disagree. I have seen many movies, notably "The Social Network", where the commentaries add even more to the movie watching experience.
Re: “Chucky 101”
Bride of Chucky was on my top ten list the year it was released. It was not at all what I expected, and it was a visually stunning movie. Took the whole series in a new direction, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. Definitely overrated it myself at the time, but it's still one great, twisted little entry. I enjoyed how absurd it was.
But yeah, the meta thing has since been played to death, so it feels far more irritating now than it did at the time, what with every other movie doing the same thing.
