Remorse is shown differently in each person. For some, the body's natural defenses kick in and they can't cry. Too stunned or traumatized to comprehend what is going on. This doesn't lessen the pain but no one has the right to perceive that superficial facade as having no remorse.
Ms. Widdison has paid amply for her actions. She absolutely deserves a chance.
