As a child of the 1980s, Ricky Allman has naturally incorporated elements of technology into the representations that have emerged in his work. Architectural shapes are balanced with florid effusions of paint that imply organic forms, like flowers. The color palette of these works also balances warmth and coolness with very intelligent and subtle techniques.
