New Tunes Tuesday: Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas, Kimbra, Imogen Heap

Happy Tuesday, music fans. There is some truly splendid music coming out this week, including the debut full-length album—one of my favorite records released so far this year—from Detroit rock band Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas, the sophomore album from New Zealand-born pop singer Kimbra and the fourth solo album by British singer-songwriter Imogen Heap.

Concert Review: Ray LaMontagne at Red Butte

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne played a sold-out show Friday night at Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre. A nearly full—not yet super—moon backlit the amphitheater to add to the dreamy ambiance of the evening, and a mild breeze swept over the audience while lightning strikes lit up the skies to the West as LaMontagne appeared onstage to croon away.

Concert Review: Paul McCartney at Energy Solutions

Paul McCartney gave Salt Lake City all his loving at EnergySolutions Arena on Thursday night by playing his nostalgic mixed bag of Beatles classics, Wings hits and more recent solo work. McCartney entertained the full house with his finely crafted storytelling through music, anecdotes and visuals.
