Randy Rainbow Celebrates "Chicken Pride Day or Whatever"

Yesterday must have been a tough day for LGBT employees at Chick-fil-A (assuming Chick-fil-A has any LGBT employees). In his own inimitable manner, however, Randy Rainbow seemed to take it all in stride:

The Colonel Loves His Gays

I’ve been thinking that the whole Chick-fil-A kerfuffle is an ideal marketing opportunity for KFC to finally overcome its sketchy history on gay issues.--- Not that it would mean more humane treatment for the chickens or make them taste any better but, businesswise, a public announcement in support of marriage equality would allow KFC to capture a traditionally brand-loyal consumer base.

Eagle Forum and FRC Favor Government Health-Care Regulation

When President Barack Obama signed into law the historic 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the Eagle Forum and the Family Research Council (among other groups who fondly, habitually and inaccurately describe themselves as "conservative") launched themselves into a hand-wringing, tut-tutting, lip-pursing frenzy. All About the Vagina

I must admit: When it comes to the vagina, I have very little expertise. Less than most men, actually.

Sarah Palin Takes On Mr. Snuffleupagus and the President

Half-term former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin thinks presidential hopeful/wishful/prayerful Mitt Romney should dredge up the Jeremiah Wright issue in his campaign against President Barack Obama (apparently because it worked so well for Palin and Sen. John McCain in 2008). Now, a neurological condition prevents me from watching Palin on Fox News -- the sound of her voice, coupled with the spectacle of her various tics and folksy mannerisms, tends to induce seizure activity in my brain, bringing on bouts of nausea, uncontrollable vomiting, and obscene Tourette's-like outbursts.

NC Finally Catches Up With Utah in Rejecting Marriage

States have been amending their constitutions to deny marriage rights to LGBT families since 1998, when Alaska and Hawaii, the youngest, hippest and most noncontiguous additions to the U.S. federation, started the trend. Utah -- always six years behind the times -- didn't jump on the anti-marriage bandwagon until 2004.

Gay Republican of the Week

Despite all evidence, there may still be a few members of the GOP who have retained their human souls. Missouri legislator Zachary Wyatt, R-Novinger, recently came out in opposition to state House Bill 2051 -- and came out, himself, in the process.

Space Is a Brutal Place

A star in the Draco constellation was recently murdered by a black hole. Not just murdered, but shredded and swallowed -- a helpless star, by a perverse, serial-killing black hole!

All About the Shakers

It is such a stupid cliche to start anything out with a dictionary definition, but in this case, it makes sense, so please bear with me: --- movers and shakers: n. pl. -- People who are active or influential in some field or endeavor
