It premieres one week from tonight, and IFC has posted a full episode of new series Garfunkel & Oates—but it’s not the premiere ep, It’s Future Comedy (since IFC no longer stands for Independent Film Channel, you’re obligated to forge your own acronyms).

The show, starring Riki Lindhome (the blonde) and Kate Micucci (the not-blonde), could lazily be described as the female Flight of the Conchords, or the taller Tenacious D, but this musical duo have their own style and warped sense of humor—and probably more words per verse than most rappers.

In this episode to air sometime in the weeks ahead, Riki and Kate try dating the “Little Mermaid” way, with mixed results, and work in a sweet ‘80s aerobics montage for their song “Go Sports Go.” Check it out now, come back for the real premiere Thursday, Aug. 7 on IFC. Be warned: Unlike Maron, G&O are Intensely Fucking Cheery (oh, there are many more to come).
