On Monday, Oct. 21, for one night only, the documentary SOMM will be screened at the Broadway Theatre (111 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City) to benefit the One Man Foundation. ---

SOMM documents four sommeliers working to pass the prestigious Master Sommelier exam, considered to be "the hardest test in the world." To obtain the Master Sommelier certification, wine professionals study for years to pass a 25-minute blind-taste test, an oral theory exam, and a practical service exam. Less then 200 people in the entire world have ever earned the title of Master Sommelier.

Among the sommeliers profiled in SOMM is former Waldorf Astoria sommelier Ian Cauble.

Tickets are $25 per person, which includes a wine reception (three glasses of wine per person) and the SOMM screening. The reception and raffle begin at 6:30 and the film starts at 7:30. Raffle items include dinners for two, ski passes and more.

All proceeds go to benefit the One Man Foundation, whose mission is "to raise awareness and support centers that provide services to empower children with disabilities and their families to live life beyond limits in the communities."
