Wednesday, you can hear C-SPAN communications director Howard Mortman explain how social media is changing the way politics is reported, observed and played.---

Politics has always been a numbers game, adding up voters to equal success or failure for a candidate. But the last few election cycles have shown how people have added new influence into the equation thanks to social-media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, allowing people to communicate, argue, inform and—disinform--others quickly and profusely on matters of politics.

Hear C-SPAN's Mortman explain the new trends at this free public forum. Check it out at the University of Utah Hinckley Institute of Politics, 260 S. Central Campus Drive, Wednesday, Nov. 28
