Tomorrow night, watch the election results come in at the Democratic and Republican headquarters and bemoan and/or celebrate the results as they come in. Or you can also check out some local third party election night shindigs.---

After months of talking heads, attack ads, spin, re-spins, and counterspins, the end is nigh for the 2012 elections. While true political junkies may be tempted to lock themselves at home on election night where they can curse at their TVs, pound whiskey or Pepsi (depending on poison preferences) at their own leisure, there’s also something grimly exciting about watching the results come in right at party headquarters.

Whether a candidate wins or loses, there’s nothing quite like being right there when the final spin-killing tally comes in and the candidates bust out the victory speeches or the concession speeches. And with this year, any HQ is going to have good real-life drama, with the presidential race at a dead heat along with Utah’s 4th Congressional District slugfest between Democrat Jim Matheson and Republican Mia Love.

Things are close and personal even at the local level, where the Salt Lake County Mayor’s contest between Democrat Ben McAdams and Republican Mark Crockett is also a very close match. So, come see the candidates meet their moments of truth Tuesday, Nov. 6 -- after you’ve voted, of course.

Utah State Democratic Party Election Victory Party, Nov. 6, 7 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel, 150 W. 500 South, Salt Lake City

Utah State Republican Party Election Night Party, Nov. 6, 7 p.m., Hilton Salt Lake City Center. 255 S. West Temple, Salt Lake City

The Justice Party, cofounded by former Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson will also be hosting an election watch part, Nov. 6, 6:30 p.m., 314 W. 300 South, Suite 225, (across from Pioneer Park, above Tony Caputo's Market)

The Libertarian Party of Utah, will also be holding an election night get together, Nov. 6, 6 p.m., at Red Robin, 316 E. Winchester Street, Murray
