TV Weekend: Utah Policy, Kevin Nealon, Breaking Bad

Posted By on August 3, 2012, 2:22 PM

What’s new on the tubes this weekend:

Bernick & Schott on Politics (, right now) Actually, this week it’s Bryan Schott and some fill-in clown pretending to know something about politics. ---Fun factoid: While this was being filmed, The Daily Show’s Senior Black Correspondent Larry Wilmore was just a few tables away in the Coffee Garden on Main Street (no, he’s not in the video, sorry).

Also new tonight:
2012 Summer Olympics (NBC); Chasing UFOs (NatGeo); Say Yes to the Dress (TLC); Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS); Fashion Police (E!); Common Law (USA); Comedy Bang Bang, Bunk (IFC); Friday Night Smackdown, Lost Girl (Syfy)

Kevin Nealon: Whelmed, But Not Overly (Showtime, Saturday) Stand-Up Special: It’s that tall guy from Weeds—how did he get a Showtime special? Does he know someone? Anyway, it’s on premium cable, so it’ll have the swears. Yay!

Also new Saturday:
NYC 22 (CBS); 2012 Summer Olympics (NBC); Bad Dog!, My Cat From Hell (Animal Planet); The Science of Doctor Who, The Nerdist (BBC America); Dark Matters (Science); Happily Never After (ID)

Breaking Bad (AMC, Sunday) It’s Walt’s 51st birthday! What could possibly go wrong? Come on down to Brewvies (677 S. 200 West; 21+) and find out: True TV, Red Rock Brewing and Brewvies Cinema Pub present Breaking Bad at 8 p.m. for free tonight. I’m not just talking to disgruntled Dish subscribers—mostly, but not just.

Also new Sunday:
Big Brother (CBS); 2012 Summer Olympics (NBC); Ice Road Truckers, Shark Wranglers (History); The Real Housewives of New Jersey (Bravo); Mob Wives Chicago, Big Ang (VH1); Army Wives, Drop Dead Diva (Lifetime); Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Mrs. Eastwood & Company (E!); Bridezillas (We); Flip Men, Bar Rescue (Spike); Aqua Something You Know Whatever, Black Dynamite, Squidbillies (Adult Swim); Political Animals (USA); Leverage, Falling Skies, The Great Escape (TNT); True Blood, The Newsroom (HBO); Weeds, Episodes (Showtime)
