TV Tonight: The L.A. Complex, American Gypsies

Posted By on July 17, 2012, 1:56 PM

What’s new on the tubby tele tonight:

The L.A. Complex (The CW) Season Premiere: A couple of months ago, the ‘Merican debut of this Canadian import set a record as the lowest-rated premiere in TV history—so, sure, bring it back for a second run, why not? ---The story of pretty renters looking to Make It in Hollywood as singers/actors/dancers/key grips isn’t any less craptastic this time around, but at least it’s preferable to a Hart of Dixie rerun (as is an ice-cream headache, or a vigorous crotch-punt).

American Gypsies (NatGeo) Series Debut: Because every cable channel formerly dedicated to intelligence and learning must now have its own reality series about idiot families bickering amongst themselves, here’s American Gypsies. But, unlike TLC’s gypsy show(s), this one has battling psychic shops! Well played, NatGeo.

Also new tonight:
Wipeout, Trust Us With Your Life, NY Med (ABC); America’s Got (No) Talent, Love In the Wild (NBC); Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef (Fox); What Not to Wear (TLC); Pregnant in Heels (Bravo); Dance Moms (Lifetime); Teen Mom (MTV); Storage Wars, Barter Kings (A&E); The Deadliest Catch (Discovery); Haunted Highway, Destination Truth (Syfy); Kendra on Top (We); Pretty Little Liars, Jane by Design (ABC Family); The Glee Project (Oxygen); Tosh.O, Workaholics (Comedy Central); Craft Wars (TLC); Retired at 35 (TV Land); Rizzoli & Isles, Franklin & Bash (TNT); White Collar, Covert Affairs (USA)
