Glad You Asked: String Cheese, Beats Antique and Black Joe Lewis

Posted By on July 10, 2012, 12:00 PM

Dear GYA, Do you have any idea how hard it is to maintain this perfectly shaved dome of mine? Not only does it require a meticulous and patient man to get the job done, but it also takes a very wealthy man. Seriously, I just bought a couple of  packs of those replacement razors from Walgreens and now I'm insanely broke.--- Anything happening tonight cheaper than those damned razors? - Howie Mandel

Howie -- yeah, replacement razors are such a scam. I bet you spend nearly 50 percent of your income on those bad boys. Here are some cheap events happening tonight:

Beats Antique will be performing at Park City Live this evening. Ld by tribal fusion-belly dancing extraordinaire Zoe Jakes, the three -piece act is known for their unique down-tempo gypsy dance music. The show starts at 9 p.m.

The String Cheese Incident will be live at Deer Valley tonight. The Colorado natives are leaders in the so-called progressive bluegrass genre and are regular staples at jam band-centric music festivals like Bonnaroo and High Sierra. The show starts at 6 p.m.

For down-and-dirty soul music, head to Urban Lounge for Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears. His smooth sound has been compared to the Dap Kings and Big Brother & The Holding Company. He's also toured with acts such as Dave Mathew's Band, New York Dolls and Flogging Molly.

Other worthwhile events happening tonight:

- The Utah Museum of Fine Arts will be showing the exhibit Res Mortis

- The Complex will be hosting the Comedy Roadkill tonight at 8 p.m.

- Head to the Woodshed for Karaoke That Doesn't Suck, beginning at 9 p.m.
