In-N-Out Burger's Religious Messages

I heard a rumor a while back that In-N-Out Burger -- a popular burger chain throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, and, more recently, Utah -- prints bible references on their food packaging. Turns out, it's true. ---

The other day I drove to the In-N-Out Burger in Centerville and ordered a Double-Double: two hamburger patties with two slices of cheese. And, sure enough, subtly printed on a corner of the Double-Double wrapper was "Nahum 1:7." Not being particularly religious, nor well-versed in bible verses, it may as well have said "Napalm 20:20."

Doing a little biblical research, however, I discovered that Nahum 1:7 is a bible passage saying, essentially, "The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him."

Digging a little deeper, I discovered that other biblical references appear on various In-N-Out Burger packaging. Such as: Proverbs 3:5 on the milkshake container; John 3:16 on sodas, and Revelation 3:20 on the regular hamburger and cheeseburger wrappers.

The latter -- Revelation 3:20 -- says "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." And, would you like fries with that?
