First, read today's True TV for more info about what does suck tonight. Now ...
What's new tonight:
The Big Bang Theory (CBS) Season Premiere: New night, because CBS just had to dump that crapfest Mike & Molly on Mondays. Other than that, same can't-miss show: Three geeks and a perpetually braless blonde (Kaley Cuoco, who's since been trampled by a horse and will miss a few episodes this season ... uh oh).
Community (NBC) Season Premiere: Despite a guest appearance by ... fuck me ... Betty White, tonight's return reestablishes what a killer ensemble comedy Community had become by season's end in May. The love/lust 4-way between Jeff, Britta, Slater and Annie is addressed quickly, if not neatly. Isn't Annie (Mad Men's Alison Brie) supposed to be, like 19?
The Office (NBC) Season Premiere: It's the beginning of the end for Michael Scott, as Steve Carell's outta here at the end of this season. Me, I'm pulling for The Shield's Michael Chiklis to replace him; his No Ordinary Family will likely have been canceled by then.
Fringe (Fox) Season Premiere: After the season premiere of Bones, the weirdest series on network TV returns--how the hell has Fringe survived on Fox for three years but now it looks like Lone Star won't make it to three weeks? It's like we're in an alternate universe or something ... wait a minute ...
Also new tonight:
My Generation (ABC) Series Debut; Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice (ABC) Season Premieres; $#!t My Dad Says (CBS) Series Debut; CSI, The Mentalist (CBS) Season Premieres; Outsourced (NBC) Series Debut; 30 Rock (NBC) Season Premiere; Bones (Fox); The Vampire Diaries, Nikita (The CW); It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League (FX); Project Runway (Lifetime); Ace of Cakes (Food Network); Jersey Shore (MTV)
Seriously, WT-fuck is going on with Fringe? Do the alternate-universe versions of ourselves all have bangs?
