You know you've been waiting for Now That's What I Call Music Vol. 34—seriously!—but perhaps you should consider some of these new releases for your next trip to the record store.---

We have a couple of reviews for recent releases featuring the likes of Tift Merritt, My Morning Jacket and Andrew Bird, and you should peruse the list below of today's new releases.

Cowboy Junkies, Renmin Park. Playing the Utah Arts Festival June 24.
Devo, Something for Everybody. Because we all need a reason to use flowerpots for hats again.
Drake, Thank Me Later. No, you thank me later, Mr. Degrassi Jr. High.
Foals, Total Life Forever. The band described the sound as "tropical-prog." Uh-oh.
The Gaslight Anthem, American Slang. The mega-hype is on for the alleged "next Springsteen" out of New Jersey.
Chris Isaak, Live at the Fillmore. Live at Red Butte August 10.
Sarah McLachlan, The Laws of Illusion. Headlining Lilith Fair at Usana July 12.
John Mellencamp, On the Rural Route 7609. A big ol' box of Johnny Cougar's hits and outtakes.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Mojo. A great American rockers makes another great American rock record. American rock radio will surely ignore it.
Rasputina, Sister Kinderhook. Definitely need more cellos in rock and roll.
Robyn, Body Talk Part 1. I'll wait for Part II, thanks.
We Are Scientists, Barbara. Laughing in the face of the long line of disastrous/annoying releases saddled with women's names: Toto's "Rosanna," Springsteen's "Rosalita," The Beach Boys' "Barbara Ann," etc.
