L.A. stoner-rock trio Nebula played a blistering, if short, set yesterday evening at Club Vegas for about 15 Sunday-night headbangers--you missed it, and you suck. ---
Nebula was formed over 10 years ago by guitarist/singer Eddie Glass, who left infamous desert-rockers Fu Manchu because he was apparently jonesing to have his own band that sounded a hell of a lot like Fu Manchu--only with more guitar solos. Nothing wrong with that; Nebula's thunderous Blues Sabbath riff-rawk is genuinely face-melting stuff, with Glass' sharp wah-wah pedal abuse (and suave, un-ironic mustache) blasting the trio straight into the stratosphere with casual abandon.
Pick up the band's latest, Heavy Psych, and don't miss 'em when/if they come around again.
