Dear GYA, I see the Pope is retiring and I honestly couldn't be more upset. Damn it, how could he do this to us? Does he have any idea how much the Internet depends on the circulation of Pope Palpatine memes? There's no way he'll be replaced with anyone as Internet worthy. Anything good happening today while we wait for new Pope jokes? -Frank Dertumn, Lehi ---

Frank,  Good. Use your aggressive feelings. Let the hate flow through you. Here's what's up for tonight:

Bass legend Victor Wooten will be onstage at The State Room. Known for holding down the low end with Béla Fleck & the Flecktones, Wooten is touring in support of two freshly released albums, Words & Tones and Sword & Stone. Doors open at 7, show starts at  8. Tickets are currently sold out.

At the Echo Theatre in Provo, check out the production of Little Happy Secrets. Written by Melissa Leilani Larson, Little Happy Secrets is the story of a Mormon woman coming to terms with her sexuality without compromising her faith. The shows starts at 7:30. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.

The Joshua Payne Orchestra will be performing at Gracie's beginning at 9. Check out City Weekly Music Editor Austen Diamond's interview with Payne about his new album, Ra Ra Ra
